Refresh Your Space!

What better time to freshen up your space than the season of spring cleaning? We have found some quick and fun ways to put a new spin on your current living space to make you feel refreshed!

Plants, Plants and More Plants!

Plants are a great way to easily freshen a space. Not only do they bring some life and greenery into your home, they also purify the air, double win! There are so many house plant options, but we've narrowed it down to a few that we love;

If you want to start small, with minimal upkeep, succulents are a great way to get your feet wet. They come in so many different varieties and look great by themselves or planted together in a larger pot. They only need to be watered once a week and love bright light.

Mini Monstera

Even if you do not realize it, you've probably seen a Monstera plant before! These plants have become extremely popular, being made into jewelry, pins and more. They make beautiful house plants that need a bit more care. They like their soil to remain moist and bright light.

We found both plants from local nursery Daphne's Botanicals! Shop everything, she has to offer here:

Add Some Color!

When I lived in an apartment, one of the things that always bummed me out was that I couldn’t paint the walls the color I wanted. If you're in this predicament, there are still ways to add some fun color and texture to your space to liven it up!

Pillows and Throws

One of the easiest ways to transform your space is to switch out your pillows and throw blanket. Personally, I like to change out my throw pillows a few times a year, adding a pop of color in the summer and adding a fun festive print during the fall/winter. If you're shopping on a budget, try TJ Maxx or Home Goods for the best deals!

De-clutter and Find Homes for your Items

All of our homes can get cluttered with everyday items and items that we once used and no longer have a need for. It's a great idea to dedicate a few days a year to cleaning out this clutter! There are several outlets to donate your unwanted items or if you are a Facebook user, look for your neighborhood "buy nothing" group. In these groups you can post items you don't have a need for anymore and others will come claim them for free!

After you've done so, try and find permanent homes for items. Another great way to stay organized is to contain things on trays or in baskets. Plus, there are so many stylish options for baskets and trays now, they become a part of your decor!trays now, they become apart of your decor!
